Unsere BioFair-Philosophie
Our journey as a BioFair hotel in South Tyrol
As a bronze member of the BioFair Hotels South Tyrol, we at the Jägerhof follow a clear, conscious path: a path guided by responsibility, regional cycles, and genuine conviction. It’s not about awards on the wall, but about a mindset you can feel—on the plate, throughout the house, and in our daily interaction with nature.

BioFair Hotels South Tyrol is an association of businesses committed to strict sustainability criteria: organic sourcing, fair partnerships, transparent value creation, resource-friendly operations, and respectful treatment of people, animals, and the environment. Membership is granted only to those who not only share these values but actively live by them.
This is exactly what we do at the Jägerhof, and that is why we are proud of our bronze certification.
Our membership in BioFair Hotels South Tyrol is a promise, to ourselves, to the region, and to everyone who spends their holiday with us:
- A promise to continue working on sustainable solutions.
- A promise to take responsibility.
- A promise that enjoyment, nature, and fairness will always go hand in hand at the Jägerhof.
Questions About BioFair
BioFair made simple
Here we answer the most important questions about the BioFair Hotels South Tyrol: what it stands for, why the Jägerhof is a bronze member, and how we live sustainability in our daily operations. Transparent, understandable, and always true to our values.
The bronze certification means that at least 30% of the purchased food must be Bbo-certified. In addition, apples & apple juice, fresh milk, butter, yogurt, mozzarella, and wine must come from South Tyrol and also be organic. Coffee, cocoa and its derivatives, cane/beet sugar, tea, and bananas must come from organic sources and be fairly traded.
Because guests can be sure that their stay is designed to be ecologically responsible, fair, and conscientious, without compromising on comfort or enjoyment.
We see BioFair as a journey, not a destination. Each year, we implement new measures, increase the share of organic products, strengthen regional cycles, and examine where we can work even more fairly and sustainably.
