Sustainability is not a trend for us, but has been part of our daily work for many years. We live in one of South Tyrol’s most beautiful natural landscapes, and that’s exactly why we aim to handle our resources with care. Power from Nature – Energy & Resources
We rely on 100% green electricity from the village-owned hydropower plant in Walten. The energy that powers our hotel comes directly from the surrounding mountains.

Wherever possible, we use energy-saving lamps to further reduce consumption.
For conscious travelers, our hotel offers a charging station for e-cars and e-bikes, as well as an e-MTB rental. This way, you can explore the surroundings with zero emissions.

Smart Waste Management
At Hotel Jägerhof in Passeier, we carefully separate our waste into organic matter, paper, glass, metal, plastics, and hazardous waste, because proper waste management is an essential part of sustainable living.
We consciously avoid unnecessary small packaging and instead rely on reusable containers that can be used again and again. Every small step makes a difference.
For this reason, we kindly ask our guests not to use single-use plastic bottles, but to refill them with our complimentary spring water.

Mobility that Matters
Eco-friendly mobility
Our guests receive the GuestPass, which allows unlimited use of all public transport throughout South Tyrol free of charge. In addition, the GuestPass provides free or discounted entry to numerous museums and attractions.
Another advantage: With complete mobility on site, there’s no need to search for parking or pay parking fees. This makes your stay not only more relaxing but also more sustainable.

Cleanliness
Cleanliness is important, but not at the expense of nature. That’s why we use certified, gentle detergents and cleaning products that are both effective and environmentally friendly.
You decide when you want your towels to be changed. This way, we can save valuable energy and water together. If you place your towel on the floor, it will be replaced with a fresh one. Did you know that washing a set of towels (hand + bath towel) uses approximately 20–30 liters of water, not to mention the detergent, even if it’s biodegradable?
