The easiest way to reach our hotel in Walten at the Jaufen Pass is by car. Alternatively, you can travel by train to Sterzing or Merano, and we’ll be happy to arrange a taxi from there. A transfer from Bolzano Airport is also available upon request.
During the summer months, there are daily bus connections over the Jaufen Pass to Sterzing, reaching the train station. The bus transfer is included with our Guest Pass and can be used right from your arrival.
Yes, a double room can be booked for single use for an additional charge of €30.00 per day. This option is available only in the following room categories: Nature Room Arnika, Double Room Alpenrose and Double Room Schafgarbe.
The nearest train stations are in Sterzing or Merano. From there, you can reach us easily by public bus or our shuttle service. We’re happy to help with planning your trip.
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, just let us know and you’re welcome to store your luggage with us. On the day of departure, the room is available until 10:00 AM.
No worries! Just let us know your expected arrival time in advance, and we’ll make sure everything—from dinner arrangements to key handover—is perfectly ready for you.
Yes, our hotel is easily accessible in winter. If you travel via Merano, there are usually no restrictions. If you arrive via the Jaufen Pass, please note that it is closed from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We recommend using winter tires and bringing snow chains if necessary.
Please also note that the Timmelsjoch Pass is closed in winter.
